Position Summary
The National Trainer is responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of training programs within our New Zealand operations, to Members and Directors. This role focuses on enhancing skills, knowledge, and performance to ensure exceptional experiences and operational excellence. The National Trainer collaborates with various stakeholders to identify training needs, designs curriculum, delivers training sessions, and evaluates effectiveness to support continuous improvement. Travel within New Zealand may be part of the job requirement.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify training needs and objectives based on service performance metrics, customer feedback, and organizational goals.
- Design comprehensive training programs and curriculum tailored to the specific needs of Members, Chapter Leadership Teams, Field Teams and Operation Team within the region.
- Develop training materials, including presentations, manuals, and multimedia resources, to facilitate effective learning.
- Conduct engaging and informative training sessions for Members, Chapter Leadership Teams, Field Teams and Operation Team, utilizing a variety of instructional techniques and formats.
- Deliver training both in-person and through virtual platforms, ensuring accessibility and effectiveness for diverse audiences.
- Provide ongoing coaching and support to reinforce learning and address individual skill gaps.
- Assess the effectiveness of training programs through observation, evaluation, and feedback mechanisms.
- Analyse training outcomes and performance data to identify areas for improvement and adjustment.
- Collaborate with regional management to monitor service performance metrics and track the impact of training initiatives.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies related to service delivery and training methodologies.
- Proactively recommend enhancements to training programs, content, and delivery methods to align with evolving business needs and industry standards.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the region, promoting individual and team growth.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to incorporate technical and product knowledge into training materials and programs.
- Foster strong relationships with service teams, gaining insights into their needs and challenges to tailor training solutions accordingly.
Qualifications
Required:
- Proven experience in training and development, preferably in a service-oriented industry or environment.
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design methodologies, and training evaluation techniques.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse audiences.
- Proficiency in utilizing training delivery platforms and multimedia tools for virtual and in-person training sessions.
- Analytical ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
- Prior BNI experience, at any level, an advantage.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
