Position Summary
The Director of Learning & Business Growth is responsible for designing and executing high-impact training programs, attending industry conferences to generate leads, and supporting business development initiatives. This role is essential in enhancing professional development, driving market expansion, and ensuring strong engagement with key stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader who excels in training execution, relationship building, and strategic growth.
Roles and Responsibilities
Learning & Training Development
- Design, customize and implement training programs that support business growth and professional development.
- Develop engaging learning experiences (in-person and virtual) for external teams, clients, and partners.
- Ensure training aligns with business objectives and industry best practices.
- Measure the impact of training programs through feedback and performance metrics.
Conference Engagement & Lead Generation
- Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to generate leads and build relationships.
- Deliver educational sessions, workshops, and keynote presentations to position the company as a thought leader.
- Identify new business opportunities through strategic engagement at events.
- Develop follow-up strategies to convert conference leads into long-term partnerships.
Business Growth & Support
- Work closely with sales, marketing, and leadership teams to align training initiatives with business goals.
- Act as a trusted advisor and resource for clients, partners, and external teams.
- Analyze market trends and identify growth opportunities through learning and development programs.
- Provide ongoing support to help partners maximize success and engagement with company services.
Qualifications
Required:
Experience & Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Learning & Development, Organizational Leadership, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in training development, business development, or a similar leadership role.
- Proven experience in attending and leveraging industry events for business growth.
- Record of presenting to senior leadership
Key Skills:
- Strong background in training program development & execution.
- Ability to lead engaging presentations & workshops at conferences and client events.
- Exceptional relationship-building and networking skills.
- Strategic thinker with a business growth mindset.
- Experience in lead generation and partner engagement through learning initiatives.
- Ability to analyze training effectiveness and business impact.
Preferred:
- Experience in franchising, membership organizations, or professional networking industries.
- Familiarity with CRM tools, learning management systems (LMS), and business analytics tools.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions
