Overview

Reporting to the Global Controller, the International Controller will lead the financial operations for BNI’s Castlebar office. This role will oversee the financial operations and reporting for one of BNI’s largest international entities. You will collaborate with cross-functional departments, and manage key financial activities, including financial reporting, compliance and risk management. Position Description

  • Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team of accounting professionals.
  • Lead the preparation, consolidation and analysis of financial statements for various international entities.
  • Coordinate the preparation of local statutory financial statements and manage the relationship with external auditors.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, increase efficiency and implement best practices.
  • Oversee and manage relationships with global banking partners, ensuring optimal banking structures for the company’s international operations.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulatory reporting requirements, including government filings and submissions related to financial disclosures, audits, and tax returns.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CPA.
  • A minimum of 5 years in progressively senior accounting or finance roles.
  • Proficiency with business and accounting software required; NetSuite experience a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office including strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
