BNI HAPPENINGS — Israel
Nahariya Grows Amid Difficulties
The Nahariya chapter meets every Monday morning at 7:15. Anat Mendar is the chairperson, Bella Shiminovitz Zahavi is the assistant chairperson and Itzick Shiminovitz is the secretary/treasurer. Slava Dvoikin is the educational coordinator, Chaya Landau and Aryeh Chescau are on the membership committee and the visitor hosts are Noah Ronen and Susan Rosen.

The group kicked off in March 2002 and quickly reached 18 members. During the holidays the group thinned down to 15 members and is now back up to 17 members.

What characterizes the Nahariya chapter? Around the table, the great team spirit is felt. The members feel part of the business family. We need to raise the number of referrals. Not all the members invest energies at the same level of Giver's Gain.

What occupations are missing? We are missing members to fill out the contact spheres. We need a CPA, a lawyer who specializes in family law and a business consultant. We especially are missing people in the computer services.

What is special about the Nahariya chapter? We pay special attention to visitors, during the meeting and in follow-ups. I thought we were special because we have moved five times to different restaurants but it turns out that many chapters in Israel have the same problem.

Requests? All members of BNI who know professionals that I mentioned above should refer them to us. Like all business people in Israel, we want to survive the difficult period of a recession and security threats, and we really do make the effort to support each other.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Writer's Guidelines for SuccessNet
We want to hear from you! SuccessNet Online needs your input. SuccessNet is truly YOUR newsletter. We ask you to consider the following tips when preparing your submission for SuccessNet:
  • Writing style should be clear and concise. Keep your sentences short and give us details. Be specific.
  • Use the inverted pyramid format, with your information leading us to the point, rather than giving all the details up front.
  • Use dialog in your submission: John said, "BNI made a huge difference in my business."
  • Be sure to include your name, chapter name and business name. When applicable, list your web address and we'll insert a hyperlink to direct readers to your website.
  • If appropriate, give us dollar values for your chapter brags and testimonials.
  • We would like digital photos of your chapter or regional events! As you can see from this first issue, we are able to have many more local-flavor articles and reviews. With your photos, include a brief description of the event, who's in the photo, and the name and city of your chapter.
  • Please also include your web address with your submission, so we can direct our readers to your site.
  • Please send your submissions to newsletter@bni.com
The types of submissions we are seeking are for Chapter Brags, Memory Hooks, BNI Happenings (your regional news), any other special announcements, success stories, or things your chapter has tried that have been successful.

Thank you!
