On Tuesday, November 2, 2010, over 150 visitors attended the joint event that played host to the kick-off of BNI Colombia’s first chapter—the BNI Bogota' Pioneros—and BNI Colombia’s first official Visitors’ Day! To view a slideshow of photos from the event, please click on the graphic below.
Thanks to the efforts of BNI National Director for Colombia, James Russell, and Jaime Yordan Frau and Gina Polo from Miami, along with the members of the BNI Bogota' Pioneros, the event was a great success!
Part of the reason for the event’s great turnout was likely due to the fantastic job James Russell and his team have done to promote themselves and gain visibility for BNI in Colombia.
“To date, (BNI Colombia has) received considerable publicity and we are working to generate more,” states Russell.
BNI Colombia has been featured on Todelar Radio, in Portafolio (the leading financial/business magazine of El Tiemo newspaper which has tremendous impact on Colombia’s business community), and in an online magazine catering to business leaders called Colombia Reports. In addition, Russell and his team are in the process of getting an article in La Republica, another major newspaper in Colombia, and, with some persistence, they hope to continue to land more radio station interviews and plugs in business magazines.
