Beth and Ivan Misner, co-founders of the BNI Foundation, gave the Directors in attendance at this year’s International Conference an opportunity to sponsor two mini grants for schools, the foundation's focus, with $10 donations until the $1000 amount was achieved.  They were surprised and amazed when two Directors anonymously sponsored the first grant in its entirety immediately and India's National Director Niraj Shah and his wife, Twinkle, subsequently sponsored the second grant shortly thereafter!

 

Throughout the course of the conference, pledges and donations continued to come in until the final evening, when German Director, Thomas Jaeger, inspired the group to answer Ivan Misner's pledge to underwrite a pre-school in India for $10,000.  Just under $4,000 was donated on the spot!

The BNI Foundation is also currently enrolling donors in both the BNI Foundation Monthly Heroes program (for a $50 per month donation) and the Super-Heroes program (for a $100 per month donation).  Chapters are also invited to participate in the Heroes program.
